Inventory Operations & Finance Coordinator (Part-Time)

About Purpose:

Purpose is a growing, multi-store retail business with a mission to bring intentional style and thoughtful shopping experiences to our communities. With 8 stores and a thriving e-commerce presence, we are passionate about great product, excellent customer service, and operational excellence behind the scenes.

Position Overview:

We are seeking a highly organized, detail-oriented Operations & Finance Coordinator to support key financial tracking and administrative processes across the company. This is a part-time position working closely with our Director of Inventory & Expansion and COO. You will be instrumental in helping us manage purchasing, expense tracking, and reporting—playing a vital role in keeping our business running smoothly as we continue to grow.

Responsibilities:

Financial & Purchasing (approx. 50%)

  • Enter and manage purchase orders

  • Track vendor charges and reconcile with P&L

  • Monitor monthly spending across departments and stores

  • Maintain organized records of purchase orders, invoices, and expenses

  • Assist with month-end reporting on margin and inventory costs

Operations & Administrative Support (approx. 50%)

  • Pull reports (inventory, margin, store performance)

  • Prepare materials for leadership and financial review meetings

  • Assist with project tracking for store launches and inventory cycles

  • Support document management and operational process improvements

  • Provide general admin support to leadership

Qualifications:

  • Strong attention to detail and highly organized

  • Comfortable working with spreadsheets, numbers, and financial tracking

  • Familiarity with purchase orders, bookkeeping, or business operations preferred

  • Experience in retail, inventory management, or admin roles is a plus

  • Ability to work independently and manage priorities across multiple projects

  • Positive, proactive attitude

Position Details:

  • Part-time: ~15–25 hours per week (exact schedule flexible)

  • Hourly pay: $21-$24/hour based on experience

  • Reports to: Director of Inventory & Expansion (primary) and COO (secondary)

  • Based at Purpose HQ in Silverdale, WA
